What's new in Firstlight

  Easier mornings: sort through findings faster

  • Handle several findings at once. Select a group of findings and add them to your doctor-discussion list — or set them aside — in one step instead of one at a time.
  • See exactly where Firstlight looked. The dashboard now shows which sources were checked in the last run, and Settings shows when each source last succeeded. If a source is having trouble, Firstlight says so instead of staying quiet.
  • Plainer relevance, no mystery numbers. Findings now explain how closely they may relate in everyday words — with a short note on what that means — instead of a raw matching score.
  • Track more than one person. Families supporting two loved ones can now keep separate profiles and switch between them from the sidebar.
  • Faster profile setup from a report. Paste text from a pathology or molecular report and Firstlight suggests profile details for you to review and confirm — all on your device, nothing uploaded.
  • Your view stays the way you left it. Sorting and filters on the Findings page are remembered between sessions, and you can now filter by source and date range.

  Automatic updates, and our safety promises in writing

  • Firstlight now updates itself. From this version on, new improvements install automatically — you'll always have the latest without lifting a finger.
  • Optional Claude connection. For families who use Anthropic's Claude, an optional extension lets Claude work with your Firstlight findings. Like everything else, it's off unless you choose to set it up.
  • Our promises, in writing. We published Firstlight's safety design, security policy, and privacy commitments — openly, where anyone can read and verify them.

  • Summary for the Doctor. A new page that gathers what you've chosen to discuss into a clear, printable summary for your oncology team.
